If your association is using Member Management Pro (MM Pro) to manage and grow its membership dues, you will be happy to know that your website delivers automated membership notifications to each member based on their status and where they are in the process, i.e., if they are active, pending, expiring or expired:
Membership renewals: upon each membership renewal (for both manual and auto-renewing membership activations) each member will receive 2 separate email notifications:
(1) a receipt / order confirmation
(2) a membership card and welcome message (please click here for instructions for customizing your membership welcome message)
Pending membership reminders: notifies the prospective member that their application is in a pending status and requires additional information and/or payment.
Email schedule: Sent 7 days and 14 days after a membership becomes pending.
*Please note: pending notifications are not sent to people whose membership is "pending review". Members pending review receive a different notification, informing them that their membership is pending review from a board member, and then receive a subsequent notification once their application has either been approved or denied.
Expiring membership / renewal reminders: notifies the active member that their membership is up for renewal.
Email schedule: Sent 30 days, 14 days, 7 days, and 1 day before expiration.
Expired membership reminders: notifies the member that their membership has now lapsed.
Email schedule: Sent day of expiring, 7 days, and 14 days after expiration.
Please note:
*You can always send additional / custom messages to any segment of your membership via your site's messaging tool.
**Expired members will also receive automated monthly membership marketing email, inviting them to renew. The monthly membership marketing email is sent to all expired members and all non-member website followers (people who have never joined).
