Membership Requires Review

If your association is using MM Pro to manage and grow your membership, you can utilize our 'requires review' tool to require adminsitrative review of specific membership tier applications prior to accepting the member into your organization. Members will complete your application requirements however they will not be able to checkout and pay (and hence, officially join) until someone from your team has reviewed and approved their application.

Some examples of membership tiers that may require review could be student memberships that require confirmation of the student's status, such as a current student ID and/or transcript, or proof of affilaition within a certain organization, amongst others.

Please contact your association support representative with questions or to enable this feature for one of your membership tiers.

For membership tiers that require review, the process is as follows:
 
1) The prospective member applies and completes all required fields on the membership application.
 
2) Upon completion, a message is shared with the applicant that their application has been submitted for review and they will be notified via email when the review process is complete.
 
3) The selected moderator will then receive an email notification sharing that a new application is pending review (please note: in order for moderator(s) to receive this email, they must add their email address within the notification settings in the Settings tab of the control panel).  A notification will also appear at the very top of the Member Management section of the control panel, notifying moderators that an application is pending review.
 
4) The moderator then reviews the details of the application and either approves or denies the application.
 
5) Upon approval, the prospective member receives an automated email notifying them that their application has been approved, containing a link to return back to the membership application to checkout / pay for membership.
 
6) Upon successful payment, the member receives their automated membership welcome email and receipt/order confirmation.
 
7) If a membership is denied, a relative email notification is automatically sent to the applicant to inform them.
